Kudos: Sudoku That Teaches ("Kudos", "the app") is made by Lazar Vuckovic. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the app and this website. The short version: we collect no data about you.

What we collect

Nothing. Kudos has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party code that collects data. We don't run a server for the app, so there is nowhere for your information to be sent to us.

What stays on your device

Your progress (solves, streaks, badges, technique credit, rating), your settings, the puzzles you scan or make, and the game in progress are stored on your device, in the app's own storage. Deleting the app deletes them from that device.

iCloud sync

If you're signed in to iCloud, Kudos keeps your progress, settings, rating and saved puzzles in step across your devices using Apple's iCloud key-value storage. That data is stored in your own iCloud account, under Apple's privacy policy, and we can't see or access it. You can turn iCloud off for Kudos in your device's Settings.

Scanning a puzzle

When you scan a printed puzzle, the photo is read on your device using Apple's on-device text recognition. The photo is never uploaded or saved by Kudos; only the puzzle's digits are kept. Kudos asks for camera access only when you choose to take a photo.

Purchases

The one-time unlock is sold through the App Store. Apple handles the payment; we receive no payment details or personal information, only Apple's confirmation that the app is unlocked on your Apple Account or through Family Sharing.

Sharing puzzles

When you share a puzzle or a duel, Kudos creates a link containing the puzzle and, for a duel, your score and the name you entered in Settings. The link is sent only where you choose to send it.

This website

kudossudoku.com uses no cookies, analytics or third-party resources. Like any web server, ours may briefly keep standard access logs (such as IP address and pages requested) for security and to keep the site running; they are not used to identify or track you.

Children

Kudos is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date.
